Ujjal Roy, Narail district representative, said that on Friday (September 27), Ujjwal Chairman Group and Newton Group clashed in Gobra Bazar area of ​​Sadar. At this time 5 people were arrested.

The arrested accused are: Iqbal Sheikh (50) son of deceased Murad Sheikh of Gobra village of Narail Sadar, Yasin Sardar (20) son of Yunus Sardar, Minhaj Molya (18) son of Ikhtiyar Molya, Akash Sheikh (19) son of Khairul Islam and Enamul Sheikh of Sobarghop area of ​​Sadar. Son Machum Sheikh (18).
According to local and police sources, there was a dispute between Ujjwal Sheikh and Newton Gazi, the former chairman of Singa Sholpur Union, in Gobra Bazar area of ​​Narail Sadar due to the dominance of the area. Due to the dispute, on Friday (September 27) around 12 noon, the supporters of both sides got together and clashed with indigenous weapons in the Gobra Bazar area. On immediate news, a team of army arrived at the spot and dispersed the two clashing groups. At that time, the army conducted an operation to rescue two injured named Solaiman Sheikh and Mohammad Tuhin and sent them to Sadar Hospital. In the operation, the army seized a large number of ramadas, knives, iron rods, ballams and iron rods and arrested five accused from the spot. Later, the army handed them over to Narail Sadar police station along with the seized indigenous weapons.
It is also known that several cases are ongoing in Narail Sadar police station against former chairman Ujjal Sheikh and Newton Gazi, the accused party leaders of both parties.
