They were arrested from a restaurant called Food Panet in Ashulia's Pallibidyut area on Friday night. All of them were initially known to have lived in Pallibidyut Dendabar and nearby areas.

According to the police, Jamaat leaders and activists were having a meeting in the restaurant. 22 people were arrested from there on the basis of secret information. A sabotage case filed on August 1, 2023 shows their arrest.
