Upazila representative  Upazila Human Trafficking Prevention Committee coordination meeting was held on May 21 (Tuesday) at 11 am at Upazila Parishad Auditorium. Upazila Executive Officer Md Adnan Chowdhury spoke as chief guest under the supervision of Teknaf Upazila Social Service Officer and Upazila Human Trafficking Member Secretary Md Khorshed Alam in the implementation of Bangladesh National Women Lawyers Association (BMW AA) and in cooperation with International Organization for Migration (IOM). Special guest Upazila Agriculture Officer Md. Zakerul Islam. Assistant Vulnerable Migrant and Counter-Trafficking Development Project BNW representative Abdullah Al Mamun presented various information related to the development project. Bangladesh National Women Lawyers Association Teknaf Upazila Coordinator Md. Ziaur Rahman Chowdhury (Marshal), Teknaf Model Police Station Representative Police Officer Jiban Roy Chowdhury, Teknaf Upazila Health Complex Disease Control Dr. Riyad Md. Saeed Chowdhury spoke. Upazila freedom fighter Zaheer Hossain MA, journalist Javed Iqbal Chowdhury and senior journalist Md Ashek Ullah Faruqi discussed openly. President of the Upazila Human Trafficking Prevention Committee and Upazila Executive Officer Md. Adanan Chowdhury said as the chief guest that the main master of human trafficking and the seducer is a masked broker of the society. They are subjected to inhumane torture in the employment illegally smuggled to Madhya Pradesh through brokers. Officials of various government departments, public representatives and journalists were present.
