Chhatra League workers arrested with 50 liters of alcohol in Ashulia 2

Dhaka District North Detective Police (DB) arrested Chhatra League activist Bangla Mohar and his accomplice from Ashulia police station along with 50 liters of brewed liquor in Savar.

Dhaka District North Detective Police Deputy Inspector (SI) Md. Fazlul Haque confirmed this information on Sunday (May 19) evening. Earlier, they were arrested in front of a five-storied building adjacent to Rabeya School, Vadail Dakshinpara, Ashulia on Saturday afternoon.

The arrested accused are Mohr alias Bangla Mohr, son of late Chhamad of Ashulia Thana Purva Vadail. He is a supporter of Ashulia Thana Chhatra League leader Tanveer. The other is Jalal Ahmad alias Haque Sahib, son of deceased Rupaul Haque of Muradnagar, Begumganj, Noakhali district.

According to the locals, Bangla Mohr is a devoted worker and associate of Tanveer, General Secretary of Ashulia Thana Chhatra League. Mohr is involved in various crimes including drug dealing, extortion in that area under the influence of Chhatra League. He was doing mischief freely using the name of Chhatra League. Mohr used to make and sell liquor by renting a five-storey building belonging to an expatriate in that area.

According to DB Police, a raid was conducted in Vadail area of ​​Ashulia late at night on the basis of secret information. At that time, they were preparing to sell about 50 liters of alcohol in front of a five-storey building adjacent to Vadail Dakshinpara Rabeya School. They were arrested. They are known to be professional drug dealers. Legal action is pending against them.
