Savar Correspondent: A terrible robbery has taken place at Navana Furniture factory located on the side of Fulbaria Dhaka-Aricha highway in Savar.
During this robbery which lasted from 7 pm to 4 am yesterday, 30 to 35 robbers held the security guards of the factory hostage at gunpoint. The robbers locked them in a room and looted a large amount of metal, a high-end car, and cash.
Arif Hossain, admin officer of the factory, said that the robbery team was very well organized and they conducted this robbery in a planned manner. He also mentioned that the security guards of the factory had no chance of resistance as they were unarmed.
Navana Furniture Supervisor Ahad Miah filed a written complaint at Savar Model Police Station as the plaintiff. After receiving the complaint, Siraj, in-charge of Tenari outpost of Savar Model Police Station visited the spot and started investigation.
The incident of this robbery has created a lot of panic among the local traders and common people. The police said that investigation is underway to quickly identify and arrest the culprits.
